Coachella isn’t just about music and fashion…. the ART is major! Kaleidoscope patterns, giant astronauts, dancing hippos, temples – Coachella are experts at switching it up! Giving us festival goers something new to see, besides seeing your favourite artist! Coachella have evolved from renting pieces, to having a budget of over $2m to spend on epic commissions.
On Friday the 27th July we headed down to Dorset for Camp Bestival. Bestival has been on our long list of “MUST DO” festivals. We figured that Camp Bestival would be a good starting point, being the UK’s most well known family festival. Although its been in our diary for a while we only booked tickets 2 weeks before. We decided that we would head down on the Friday and stay in a nearby hotel rather than camp. The Springfield Country Hotel was booked for 2 nights, which seemed to be a hit with other Camp Bestival goers. We even mingled with some roadies and bands over the corn flakes at breakfast.

In a lifetime you get a few milestone Birthdays. Although you might not remember your 1st, I’m pretty sure your parents most definitely do. This year has been a complete whirlwind, and hands down one of the best, and hardest years of our life. For that reason we wanted to celebrate Little Em’s 1st Birthday, and us surviving as parents in true style. But, What do you do for a 1 year old who has just returned from Coachella, and who’s raving career far exceeds mine when I was 18?

Copenhagen has never been on our bucket list until now. We’ve always been a fan of the city break. Getting away for a few nights, and exploring a new destination always does wonders for the soul, and our sanity. For this very reason we always try to book a couple of trips a year. Ok, we hold our hands up, these escapes usually coincided with Arctic Monkeys tour dates, but they were city breaks nevertheless. In between the fan girling, city sights were definitely seen.
